I already did a Sun/Moon profile on the Capricorn Sun, Scorpio Moon combination last year but it may be time for an update. At it’s best, the combination of the sure-footed Mountain Goat and the deeply powerful Scorpion-Eagle makes for one of the toughest and most potentially soulful of the 144 Sun/Moon combinations. At its worst, however, this pairing can be both terrifyingly ruthless and absolutely tyrannical. The U.S. Federal Reserve – arguably the most tyrannical institution in the history of the world outside of certain large religious organizations – is a Capricorn Sun, Scorpio Moon. (Chart)
The Fed has a rather auspicious astro-twin that bears mentioning. Using the show’s debut date as its date of birth, the hit HBO show The Sopranos is also a Capricorn Sun, Scorpio Moon. (Chart) That a television show about a ruthless mafia family has the same Sun/Moon combination as the Federal Reserve is a rather interesting coincidence but not exactly a surprise given the institution’s reputation among more seasoned commentators.
As astrologer Hazel Dixon Cooper says of the Capricorn Sun, Scorpio Moon combination in her book Born on a Rotten Day, “Capricorn/Scorpio is a force with which you should not trifle. This combo does not forgive and is quite capable of tracking you to the ends of the Earth to exact revenge.” (Source)
